South Sea Pearl Screw Back

Q: I am interested in South Sea pearl earrings and wondered if the studs have a screw back to prevent loss. Please advise.

A: Yes, we can make the post style earrings using a screw back finding. I understand completely the concern about loss with the larger South Sea pearls. Also, they are heavier than the more delicate Akoya pearls and as such, can have a tendency to pitch forward on the ear. With the screw style post, the back can be tightened a bit more and will stay securely in that position to minimize this behavior. There is an additional charge of $20.00 for the screw backs so whichever earrings you are considering, simply add the $20.00 to the price listed on the site and you will have the total price. Because this is a custom item, you will have to either call our office to place the order or we can handle it for you via email. Our regular office hours are 9am to 5pm PST, Monday through Friday.
