Natural Pearls

Q: I'm looking for a loose natural pearl in the 4-7mm diameter range with at least one round side. Do you certify natural pearls or is that something that the GIA does separately (and do you know how much this costs)? I wasn't sure if your entire inventory was online so I thought I'd ask. I live in the Pasadena area so I could come in.

A: All of our current inventory of natural pearls is posted on the website. If there is nothing on the site that fits your needs and you would like us to try sourcing one for you, let me know all the details of type of pearl, size, etc. and we’ll see what we can find for you. When you purchase a natural pearl from Pearl Paradise we include an appraisal for the item which includes the purchase price, a fairly detailed description, and a photo of the pearl. The certification for natural pearls is issued from the GIA separately which we can arrange for you or, if you prefer, you can arrange for that certification yourself. The charge for this GIA certification is $130.00.

Should you decide to pursue the natural pearl and would like us to find some additional choices for you, we would then set up an appointment time for you to come and inspect the pearls in person when we have them in our office.
